A new way to pay – the circle app

*this sponsored post is in collaboration with Circle. All opinions are my own*

One of the hassles of transferring money to your account is that it takes days for the money to appear in your account. I personally can’t stand when this happens because sometimes I need those funds immediately and I don’t have access to it. I attended a dinner with Circle, which is an app that lets you send money to friends in the room or overseas without any fees. The best right? As we enjoyed a delicious 3-course meal at Townsman we learned how to use the app and send money towards the bill so we could test the app out live.

For the first course, we had minestrone soup with a side of bread and maple butter. For the second course I had butternut squash risotto and it was amazing! I love squash and I’ve never had it with risotto so I will be going back to have this again. I always try new things when I go out to eat so I’m glad I went with this choice. And for my last course, I had chocolate pecan tart with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The dinner was incredible and the app is so easy to use so I was very happy.  I’m not the greatest when it comes to learning new apps but when I have a simple menu and instructions to guide me through the app I’m a pro.

Like I said up above certain apps take a while for the funds to reach your checking account but we sent the money for this meal in seconds. We also had an ongoing group chat going on in the app filled with hilarious gifs. I have a link I can share with friends also! Use the code 3LGD78 and we’ll both get $10 when you sign up with your debit card and send $25. Thanks for reading everyone and thank you to Circle for partnering with me on this post.

Holiday gifts for her

*I received these products from the L’Occitane team. All opinions are my own*

The best kind of gifts are beauty gifts am I right? I really enjoy getting new things to try out during this season and brands make really cute holiday packaging for their products. I’m a huge fan of L’Occitane products and I was lucky enough to receive some of their gift sets to feature on my blog. If you’re stuck on what to get someone from Christmas and they love really REALLY great products I suggest you purchase one of these gift sets for someone. Every single product I have tried from L’Occitane has been so different in a good way.

I’m always trying new lotions or face creams and my skin loves it. Everything that I use makes my skin so soft and youthful looking. I’m only 26 but you know what I mean! And the prices are great so it’s worth it. It’s like I’m having a spa day at home every time I open a new product from L’Occitane. Click the links below to check out the new holiday products. If you’re looking for beauty products under 50 and you want a variety I would check out TJ Maxx. The one on Boylston St. in Boston has such a huge selection and all of the small soaps and body wash would make perfect stocking stuffers. Happy Holidays everyone!

Step by step skincare routine with Clarisonic

*This post is in collaboration with Clarisonic. All opinions are my own*

Over the past few weeks, I have used the Clarisonic Mia 1 in my skincare routine. I purchased a Clarisonic a few years ago and I was really satisfied with the results and I recommended it to all of my friends. I was really happy to partner with Clarisonic to show my readers my current skincare routine. I’ve used my Clarisonic Mia 1 for a few weeks now and I wanted to share my honest opinion with you guys! The first few days I used the Mia 1 along with a cleanser that came in the package to see how my face would react.

In about two days I stopped using the cleanser that came with the Clarisonic because my skin started to break out. Instead, I used my First Aid Beauty cleanser and followed up with the First Aid Beauty moisturizer. I have very sensitive skin so I should’ve never risked it!  The First Aid Beauty cleanser is gentle enough for me. Clarisonic feels so good to use after a long work day and your skin feels oily and dirty. I was fortunate enough to get two different brush heads to try out. I received the acne brush head and the deep pore cleansing brush head. Her Campus is running a promo that gives you %15 off all devices featured here. Use the code HERCAMPUS to receive this promo. What do you guys use in your skincare routine? I’m always looking for new stuff to try so I would love recommendations!

Styling your outfits with Jord Wood Watches

Photography: Pixel Moving Company

One of my (many) favorite things about fall is men’s fashion. My boyfriend has really nice fall clothes and I’ve always been slightly envious. All of his sweaters and button-down shirts basically define fall. For this post, I’ve teamed up with Jord Wood Watches once again to host a giveaway and feature a fall look for the guys out there. My boyfriend received the Hyde watch in walnut and black and he loves it. I’m so happy when I see people wearing gifts I got them. It makes me feel like I’m really good at gift giving when in reality I’m actually really bad, ha!

He’s worn it a few times already and it’s totally his style. I’ve never posted about men’s fashion but Nick put together a flay lay featuring his Frank and Oak sweater top, Kohl’s jeans, and Nikes. I made one too with my H&M chunky knit top, Uniqlo leggings and Boohoo booties. To participate in the giveaway fill out the form here. Every person who enters has the chance to win $100 gift code to use on the JORD website. Only one person will win but everyone will receive a code worth $25 once the contest ends. Now that the holidays are approaching this would be a great gift to give someone who loves unique watches. College Fashion week with Primark & Fall shopping haul

*This is a sponsored post with Primark. All opinions are my own*

Photography: Pixel Moving Company

This was my first time attending College Fashion week here in Boston and it was a fun experience to be around the sponsors and meet some new blogger friends. I wish I had the opportunity to do this when I was in college because I was able to speak with the students about their dreams and what inspires them when it comes to fashion. It’s always interesting to hear another students perspective on school, especially if they’re younger than you.

I was so excited to partner with College Fashion Weeks sponsor Primark! When Primark arrived in the U.S I was there on opening night. The clothing is so affordable and trendy. Every time I step in the store there’s something new on the racks.  I have such a hard time with clothes ripping in the washing machine and nothing from Primark has been destroyed yet (knock on wood)!!  I wanted to put together a fall fashion haul and show you what I picked up this season. Primark has a vast collection of new arrivals right now so this is a great opportunity to add some new pieces to your wardrobe.

The best thing about this store is that you’re not breaking the bank on clothing. Anytime you see someone leaving the store they have multiple bags in their hands. Seriously, you can’t leave with just one bag. This fall I’m going for very light colors and not the typical dark hues. I purchased a pink cardigan and a chunky blue sweater so far. I still have money left on my gift card so I will be going back to get more. All of the images below are similar to my Primark options. Shop away!

Mornings with McCafé Espresso

*This is a sponsored post with McDonald’s*

Photography: Pixel Moving Company

I start every morning with coffee because it’s the easiest way for me to wake up. I start my coffee pot in the morning before my shower so when I get out my kitchen is filled with the scent. Some days I need an extra kick so I’ll get something with a ton of espresso in it. That instantly wakes me up and I’m good to go for the rest of the day.  Coffee and espresso just work better for me in the mornings (sorry tea lovers).  McDonald’s is relaunching the McCafé experience with new café-quality espresso beverages which includes

Caramel Macchiato

Cappuccino

Americano

Pumpkin Spice Latte (for a limited time only)

To celebrate this relaunch, McDonald’s is offering any small McCafé beverage for $2 (limited time only). You can also get any size hot or medium iced McCafé coffee or just $1! Now you can start each morning with a delicious and affordable drink without spending a lot of money. In my last post about saving money I talked about buying coffee everyday and how that can burn a hole in your pocket but with a deal like this it’s such a steal. What are you waiting for? Go to McDonald’s!!!

Thrifting with Savers

I was provided compensation to shop at a Local Savers store. All opinions are my own*

Thrifting is a fun and I will always take the opportunity to shop for great clothes at discounted prices. Savers recently released its 2017 State of Reuse report examining perceptions around clothing consumption and reuse. 63% of Boston respondents admitted that they still throw their clothes away in the trash. Which is 9% higher than the national average. That blows my mind! Unless the clothing is destroyed you should always donate! My boyfriend and I just dropped off a ton of old clothes and bags to Savers recently. The sidewalk outside of the store was filled with donations.

Donating is a great way to give back to your community. You can always help a family in need. I bought these two dresses and this white top at savers and I spent about $25. What are some of your favorite stores to thrift shop at?  Let me know in the comments below!

Signature crafted event

I received compensation from McDonald’s in exchange for writing this review. This is a sponsored post, all opinions are my own.

I’m a HUGE foodie so I was excited to attend an event at Mcdonald’s to try the new signature crafted sandwiches. Sorry in advance to my healthy friends but I love McDonald’s! When I was in school I would go to McDonald’s just to grab an Oreo Mcflurry. We started the event with a mini tour of the Kitchen with Chef Mike who came to visit from Chicago. He made each sandwich from scratch and all of the ingredients are fresh every single day. The three sandwiches that were offered were Maple Bacon Dijon, Pico Guacamole, and Sweet BBQ Bacon.

I ordered the Sweet BBQ Bacon sandwich with crispy buttermilk chicken. I don’t like BBQ sauce on my sandwiches but this BBQ sauce was tangy and sweet. The perfect addition to the sandwich. Along with these signature crafted sandwiches, McDonald’s is offering new “Just For You” customer experiences at select stores. As of May 5th, 11 stores currently have table service, touchscreen self-order kiosks, or mobile pay options. We ended the night with the ladies of Sip and Script and I learned some basic calligraphy tips. I wasn’t the best but it was such a fun activity to end with. Check out their event page to see what’s coming up on the schedule.
