It’s so easy how fast you can be consumed by a particular lifestyle. It all depends on your surroundings. For example, if you work in fashion you sometimes feel the need to improve your wardrobe or beauty routine. We nitpick every single detail we sometimes forget to be ourselves. So focused on our outside appearance we forget to give the inside some TLC. Constantly changing our looks or personality based off the people we’re around or magazines we read. The process of keeping up with trends is exhausting to me. I don’t have enough time in the day to focus on what’s current.
As a 23 year old woman I can say at some point in my life I looked at myself and wished I could change something. In high school I succumbed to this because I didn’t know who I really was or what I wanted out of life. Every day I was surrounded by the same people who all wanted the same things. So I felt like I needed to have it as well. As the years passed my self-confidence grew. I’m very sure about who I am now and what I look like. There’s still going to be things I wish I could change but that’s how I was made. My flaws are unique.
