Signature crafted event

I received compensation from McDonald’s in exchange for writing this review. This is a sponsored post, all opinions are my own.

I’m a HUGE foodie so I was excited to attend an event at Mcdonald’s to try the new signature crafted sandwiches. Sorry in advance to my healthy friends but I love McDonald’s! When I was in school I would go to McDonald’s just to grab an Oreo Mcflurry. We started the event with a mini tour of the Kitchen with Chef Mike who came to visit from Chicago. He made each sandwich from scratch and all of the ingredients are fresh every single day. The three sandwiches that were offered were Maple Bacon Dijon, Pico Guacamole, and Sweet BBQ Bacon.

I ordered the Sweet BBQ Bacon sandwich with crispy buttermilk chicken. I don’t like BBQ sauce on my sandwiches but this BBQ sauce was tangy and sweet. The perfect addition to the sandwich. Along with these signature crafted sandwiches, McDonald’s is offering new “Just For You” customer experiences at select stores. As of May 5th, 11 stores currently have table service, touchscreen self-order kiosks, or mobile pay options. We ended the night with the ladies of Sip and Script and I learned some basic calligraphy tips. I wasn’t the best but it was such a fun activity to end with. Check out their event page to see what’s coming up on the schedule.

Springtime inspired drinks with Champy

April is finally here and it’s patio season! I can finally open up my screen door and let the warm breeze inside my apartment. I love to sit on my patio, paint my nails and soak up the sun.  Nice weather is the perfect excuse grab a drink after work with friends and I made two delicious springtime sparkling wine drinks for you to try this season.  Wine is the go-to drink at a get together and all of these ingredients make your drink so refreshing.

Sparkling wine fits so perfectly with appetizers and girl time and when you have a bunch of friends over you can never just drink one bottle of wine so it’s great that Champy is so affordable.  If you’re looking for a quick way to add some flavor to your sparkling wine I suggest adding pomegranate seeds to your drink. It’s sweet and once the drink is done you can eat the seeds. Scroll to the bottom to check out the recipes!  Thank you to Champy for gifting me this bottle of sparkling wine to enjoy.

Favorite Pins pt.8 – Stripes

Here’s to another month filled with my favorite pins on my Currently Coveting board. This month I’m all about Stripes and I have to admit I was a little jealous when I missed National Stripes Day which is J.Crews very own holiday. For now I’ll just pin the hell out of my Pinterest board and look for some cute tops to buy. My favorite is number 1. The color is perfect for spring and off the shoulder tops are still in right now.  It’s also on sale right now for $54.99.

I currently own three striped tops, two are blue and white and the other is grey and white. My mini collection needs some color and I think the yellow and red tops would be the perfect. My ideal go to summer weekend look would be the yellow top paired high wasted denim shorts and espadrilles from Soludos. Number 5 is my second option and I would pair it with a short denim skirt and sandals.  Which top do you like best? Let me know in the comments below.

Tops to invest in this spring

Bell sleeves are my favorite and these two tops are my go to shirts for spring. This pink Asos shirt is still available on the website for $20. Click here to buy one for yourself or check out other bell sleeve looks. I just got this top from Zara last week and it cost $49.90.  It’s cute right? Ever since I bought my yellow J.Crew coat I fell in love with the color.

Click the links below to shop and get your wardrobe ready for Spring! My favorites are the Soprano white off the shoulder top, and the DL1961 denim top. Let me know which tops are your favorites in the comments below.

Favorite Pins pt.7

Here is part 7 of my Favorite Pins series featuring items I’m #currentlycoveting for the Spring/Summer 2017 season.  I’m into high-waisted denim at the moment because I bought new Levi’s on Amazon for $26. The best feeling is finding something you love at a decent price especially when you’re shopping. Levis have always been my favorite brand and you can never have enough denim right??  I’m also stuck on this big sleeve, shaggy blouse trend that’s happening.

I think it’s a relaxed classic look without being too formal. Straw bags are a must for summer and I really like the bucket style because they hold more. I need a large bag to throw my swimwear and wine into for beach days. This spring/summer I want to constantly be in denim, carry around tote bags, and wear sandals. This set of pins is what I want my wardrobe to look like and I WILL make it happen!

Bake with me-Mini Oreo Cheesecake

After a few failed attempts I’m learning how to bake again. I found a recipe on Pinterest and I made mini Oreo cheesecakes. Cheesecake is so good and I LOVE Oreos so why not make something sweet to enjoy during the weekend. This recipe has 7 ingredients and I had most of them I had in my apartment which was very helpful. I’m not afraid to admit that I can eat two sleeves of Oreos in one sitting.  They’re the best!

The end product came out so good! I honestly thought I would destroy them in the oven but I succeeded at baking WOOO! It’s the perfect way to get some sweets in without feeling guilty. Well you might because the amount of cookies, butter and sugar you use is insane but insanely delicious! Let me know if you try this recipe! Trust me it’s so good. Obviously it’s not going to look exactly like the recipe photos from the link but I tried!

Ingredients – for the full breakdown click this link  – I followed the recipe from The First Year Blog

Butter

Cream Cheese

Sugar

Vanilla extract

All about athleisure

I had the chance to visit Kit & Ace for a fit and design session about a week ago.  Athleisure has appeared in some of my favorite fashion magazines as the go to clothing option for models and I understand why. It’s such a simple and fashionable way to get ready in the morning. Imagine having workout tops and leggings that are stylish enough to wear to work!! The wave dress and the weekend brush hoodie were my favorite pieces from the session. The brush hoodie has a boyfriend fit and I’m really into the loose fit trend right now. What do you guys think of the wave dress? I might make this my go to summer weekend look! Want to see more post?? Follow me on Bloglovin to keep up with everything new.
