All about athleisure

I had the chance to visit Kit & Ace for a fit and design session about a week ago.  Athleisure has appeared in some of my favorite fashion magazines as the go to clothing option for models and I understand why. It’s such a simple and fashionable way to get ready in the morning. Imagine having workout tops and leggings that are stylish enough to wear to work!! The wave dress and the weekend brush hoodie were my favorite pieces from the session. The brush hoodie has a boyfriend fit and I’m really into the loose fit trend right now. What do you guys think of the wave dress? I might make this my go to summer weekend look! Pretty in peach

loft dress

My weekend in Chicago was amazing! The weather during the first few days was really bad. Fog and rain lasted throughout the day and it cleared up at night but it was still chilly. The last two days the weather was warm and the skies were clear. Day 1 and 2 we had deep dish pizza for dinner from Gino’s East.  I would eat it every night if it wasn’t so heavy. The crust was so buttery and crunchy and the cheese was perfectly distributed throughout the whole pie. I can go on forever about the food but I’m putting together a Chicago to-do list soon.

On our way to downtown Chicago I stopped by Loft and saw this peach colored dress. It’s perfect for work (and brunch). The color is new to me but I needed to buy it. I think I’ll wear dresses a lot this summer so I can fully embrace the warm weather. I’ve started to gravitate towards workwear these past few months starting with my shopping spree on asos.com, I bought 4 dresses on a whim. Loft’s clothing is versatile and I think women of any age can find something they like there.

West Palm Beach style

currently craving

16 days until my trip to West Palm Beach and I’m excited to explore a different part of Florida.  When you find a great deal on a flight you have to take advantage and just book it. When I think of West Palm Beach I picture people riding their bikes, warm water, beach bars, and delicious food. It snowed on the first day of spring and I must say I am completely over the cold weather and layers. I think this trip is the perfect time for some R&R and sun. I really do think every once in a while people book a trip and take a break from everything. Ever since the Dominican Republic and Paris I’ve had the travel bug. If you have the funds spend that money on a trip. Seeing different parts of the world can be so eye opening and beautiful. Trust me, I will be going back to France soon and possibly other countries when I have enough saved. Until then I will continue pinning and dreaming.

Keeping it Fresh

FullSizeRender (1)

Sugar Lip Treatment (Honey) –  For $22.50 it comes in a small round container with an ample amount of lip balm inside. I haven’t had to reapply this to my lips very often which is great because the product will last longer.  The lip treatments are tinted so I would suggest trying them before you purchase. The honey one has the perfect amount of tint and you can actually see it on my skin. With my purchase I received a ton of free samples! So far I’ve only tried the Soy Face Cleanser. For a gel cleanser it really works and I’m not a fan of gel cleansers so that’s saying something.

Daily skincare routine- Jyotsna

Cuppa Jyo

Jyotsna from Cuppajo shared her daily skincare routine with me.

1.When you wake up in the morning what products do you  use on your face?

I wash my face with a normal face wash Jojoba oil face wash and then apply a face moisturizer.

2. Do you use any products during the day to keep your face fresh?

No I dont usually use any products during the day. I do carry around my moisturizer and a compact to keep it refreshed if need be.

3.What moisturizer do you swear by?

Love the Kiehls Creme De Corps – it is super moisturizing.

4. What is your nighttime routine?

I remove my makeup with makeup wipes, then wash my face again with the Jojoba oil cleanser and then apply a few of these Beauty drops by Skin owl. They are SO amazing, I think there’s definitely unicorn tears in them!

5. Any new beauty products you just started trying?

Trying out some new products by Enza beauty.

Daily skincare routine – Danielle

FullSizeRender (3)Danielle from Shades of Danielle  was kind enough to chat with me about her skincare routine from day to night.

1. When you wake up in the morning what products do you use on your face?

When I wake up in the morning, I wash my face with Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser. It feels really smooth and nice on the skin and makes me feel super clean. Then I’ll use my Clarins Multi-Active Day cream as a moisturizer. Lastly, I’m currently using Benefit’s Puff Off under my eyes to brighten them up for the day.

2. Do you use any products during the day to keep your face fresh?

Sometimes I’ll use a toner during the day to rid myself of oil. I’ll either use the Clarins Extra-Comfort Toning Lotion or the Lush Tea Tree Water toner. However, if I’m out and wearing a lot of makeup I’ll just touch up with a Nyx Green Tree Blotting Paper.

3. What moisturizer do you swear by?

My Clarins Multi-Active Day Cream!

4. What is your nighttime routine?

At night, I’ll either use the same cleanser or Lush’s Ocean Salt Scrub if I want to mix it up and exfoliate more. I follow that with The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion and a Shiseido eye cream.

5. Any new beauty products you just started trying?

I actually just got the Lush Tea Tree Water toner so I’m still trying that out as well as the Puff Off. I also got Lush’s Mask of Magnaminty which I still need to try!
