These photos were taken on a really really humid day here in Boston. Even an outfit like this was too much! But I love this skirt and I wanted to share it. I purchased it from Primark a year ago and it’s still in good shape. Happy Friday everyone!
So far I’m loving the weather in August and I hope it stays like this until mid-September. My favorite part about August is when the sun goes down and there’s a cool breeze that reminds me that fall is very close but NOT that close you know. My heart broke a little when I saw Halloween decorations out in TJ Maxx! I’m really not ready for summer to end I want it to last forever. I’m trying to enjoy my weekends as much as I can before I have to bundle up again for a few months.
Last Sunday Newbury Street shut down the roads allowing pedestrians to walk in the street. If you’re from Boston you know how annoying the sidewalks on Newbury Street are during the summer. Packed with people and tourist, it’s awful if you’re there to do some serious shopping. It was the perfect summer day for lunch outside and a walk through the park. This Primark dress was only $9 and the shoes were $19. The purse is from Asos, I bought it a few years ago but Asos has really good deals when it comes to their purse selection.
I really fell in love with these Primark platforms in the store. I think the peach color is perfect for summer and it makes your pedicure look 100 times better. Where did you guys pick up your favorite little white dress? I would love to know!!

I’ve never really shopped at J.Crew until recently. Over the past few weeks I found some really cool items and I think I’m falling for the brand. I picked up a white cashmere like sweater from J.Crew factory at the Assembly Row Outlets a few weeks ago and I knew I needed to get my hands on some more stuff. There’s a consignment store in Davis Sq called Found, I saw this blue turtle neck J.Crew sweater (above) on sale and I immediately purchased it. The fabric is so soft and the color is perfect for the winter. I would love to pick up a few more items before the new year arrives. It’s looking like my next purchase is this shawl-collar coat in neon tangelo.
Downtown Crossing has finally come back to life! Since Filenes Basement closed years ago there was a huge empty lot just begging for something amazing to be built. First thing was the Millennium Tower, then Roche Brothers, now Primark. This is Primark’s first store in the U.S and I was invited to the pre-opening shopping party. Bloggers and press received a gift bag filled with information about the Primark & Refinery 29 event along with a $50 gift card so I headed straight for the clothes! The store is over 70,000 sq. feet and four floors high of women’s clothing, men’s clothing, accessories, and miscellaneous items scattered around the store.
Around 8:30 everyone gathered around the Refinery29 stage waiting for Tinashe to perform and she did an amazing job. I’m officially a fan of her music now and she’s a great performer. After some sliders and two cocktails I was ready to end the night. I left with three sweaters, a pair of gold earrings, and a belt. It all cost $54 which is a great deal. Now that H&M’s studio collection is out and Primark is next door my wallet is going to be hurting these next few months. I will definitely make another trip to Primark soon to pick up some basic tees and some cute boots. The prices are low but the quality of clothing is A+.
